This Shift Machine is a manually operated patient transfer aid designed to assist with transfers between seated surfaces. It comes with two different support slings, including one designed for toileting.
The sling is positioned beneath the user's buttocks and secured to the frame using the attachment buckles. The attendant then operates the hand crank to raise the user, allowing the transfer aid to be manoeuvred into position before lowering to the new surface.
